Due to extensive demand, we are celebrating the grand opening of our state-of-the-art Indoor Tanning Salon!

Relax in one of our brand-new Ultra-Bed or Stand-Up unit while achieving a deep, golden tan after a workout or build a base tan before going away on vacation. However you do it, the look and feel you get after a few minutes getting some "sun" in our controlled indoor tanning facility can't be beat!

Lifestyle Health & Fitness Centre's tanning salon is operated by certified tanning professionals of the International Smart Tan Network. We make sure you get the color you want in a clean, professional environment, and guarantee that your tanning experience is as satisfying as your fitness experience has been since Lifestyle's establishment in 1992.

Co-Ed Training

We provide our members with a vast selection of state-of-the-art equipment including the 20-minute Body Masters Circuit, Plate-Loaded Hammerstrength machines, new extensive rack of iron-plated free weights, and over 50 pieces of Life Fitness and True Cardio equipment. Our machines are regularly maintained for maximum quality performance.

Ladies Only

The second level of our centre is dedicated to the Ladies Only area where the machines are smaller and more compact to adjust specifically to women's bodies. This is a quiet haven for women who wish to complete their workouts in a more private setting without sacrificing the use of top-quality equipment. And we promise that there is absolutely NO pink in our Ladies Only area!

Aerobic Room

The Lifestyle Aerobic room is a 1,700 square foot retreat covered in sprung hardwood floors and an array of floor-to-ceiling mirrors on the walls to assist you with movement correction and body focus. We supply a vast selection of dumbbells, Body Barrs, stretch tubes, Swiss Balls, heavy bags, and foam rollers in the Aerobics room for members to take advantage of during class times. The room may also be used for miscellaneous activities such as dancing and practice posing during non-class times.

Yoga Room

Lifestyle is the only fitness centre in Nanaimo that has dozens of weekly Yoga and Pilates classes included in the membership; therefore, we also have a seperate room for only these classes! The Lifestyle Yoga Room is a vast 1,800 square foot area laid with sleek maple hardwood floors, serene, pastel green walls, and large sunlight-streaming windows to help members unwind while getting an excellent workout. Shoes are not allowed to be worn in this room, so the floors are always clean and dust-free. Mats and props are provided.

Saunas and Steamroom

Both the men's and women's change rooms are equipped with saunas for the members' use anytime of the day, either after a long swim, a strenuous cardio session, or a battle with the weights. And don't forget to experience our newly-renovated co-ed steam room! Just turn on the timer and feel your muscles relax, your mind clear, and your skin purify all at the same time. The sauna and steamroom are the perfect ending to any workout!
